Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef ⓘ
- 1 clove garlic, minced ⓘ
- 1 large onion, finely chopped ⓘ
- 1 medium green pepper, finely chopped ⓘ
- 4 Tbsp. chili powder ⓘ
- 1 Tbsp. cider vinegar ⓘ
- 1/4 tsp. allspice ⓘ
- 1/4 tsp. coriander ⓘ
- 1 tsp. cumin ⓘ
- 1/2 tsp. salt or to taste ⓘ
- 1/2 cup water ⓘ
- 1 (16 oz.) can red kidney beans with liquid ⓘ
- 2 cups canned crushed tomatoes ⓘ
Instructions
- Cook beef, garlic, onion, and green pepper in a heavy skillet over medium-high heat, stirring to break up the meat.
- Cook until the onion is soft and the meat has lost its pink color.
- Add the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil.
- Cover, reduce heat, and simmer for 45 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Do not substitute or leave out any ingredients.
