Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 1 medium green pepper, finely chopped
  • 4 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 Tbsp. cider vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp. allspice
  • 1/4 tsp. coriander
  • 1 tsp. cumin
  • 1/2 tsp. salt or to taste
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 (16 oz.) can red kidney beans with liquid
  • 2 cups canned crushed tomatoes

Instructions

  1. Cook beef, garlic, onion, and green pepper in a heavy skillet over medium-high heat, stirring to break up the meat.
  2. Cook until the onion is soft and the meat has lost its pink color.
  3. Add the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil.
  4. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer for 45 minutes, stirring frequently.
  5. Do not substitute or leave out any ingredients.
  6. Serve hot and enjoy this delicious chili!
