Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup bran
  • 1 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup walnuts
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/3 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon molasses

Instructions

  1. Combine bran, flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, and nutmeg in a bowl.
  2. Mix molasses, beaten egg, milk, and melted butter into the flour mixture.
  3. Blend in walnuts.
  4. Fill cupcake papers two-thirds full with the batter.
  5. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
