Ingredients

  • 6 c. dry bread cubes or crumbs
  • 1/2 to 1 c. giblets, cooked and cut up
  • 1/2 c. almonds, chopped
  • 1/2 c. raw sunflower seeds
  • 1 c. celery, chopped
  • 2/3 c. onion, chopped
  • 1/3 c. melted butter
  • 1 c. chicken broth
  • 2 Tbsp. Spike or any seasoning salt

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, toss together the bread cubes or crumbs, cooked giblets, chopped almonds, sunflower seeds, chopped celery, and chopped onion.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, chicken broth, and seasoning salt.
  3. Pour the liquid mixture over the bread cubes mixture and toss to combine well.
  4. Transfer the mixture into a buttered baking dish.
  5. Bake, covered with foil, for the last hour of poultry cooking.
  6. For crunchier stuffing, remove the foil for the last half hour of baking.
