Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 cup margarine or butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 1/2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 1/2 cups coarsely chopped white chocolate
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped almonds

Instructions

  1. In a small mixing bowl, stir together flour and baking soda.
  2. Set aside.
  3. In a large mixer bowl, beat margarine with an electric mixer on medium speed for 30 seconds.
  4. Add sugar and brown sugar; beat until fluffy.
  5. Add egg; beat well.
  6. Add flour mixture; beat until well mixed.
  7. Stir in oats, white chocolate, and almonds.
  8. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls 3 inches apart onto an ungreased cookie sheet; flatten slightly.
  9. Bake in a 375°F oven for 10 minutes or until done.
  10. Cool on cookie sheet for 1 minute; remove and cool on a wire rack.
