Tips & Substitutions

To enhance the flavor, consider adding a splash of vanilla extract or a handful of raisins for extra sweetness. If matza farfel is unavailable, crushed matzo or even breadcrumbs can be a substitute. Adjust the nuts according to your preference; pecans or almonds work well too. Be sure to grease the baking dish well to prevent sticking.

Serving Suggestions

Serve warm as a delightful side dish during Passover or as a sweet breakfast treat. It pairs beautifully with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream for dessert. For a balanced meal, consider serving it alongside a fresh green salad or roasted vegetables.

Storage & Reheating

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. To reheat, place individual portions in the microwave for about 1-2 minutes or warm it gently in the oven at 350°F until heated through. This keeps the kugel moist and delicious.
