Ingredients

  • 1 yellow cake mix
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 3 cups miniature marshmallows
  • 2/3 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 cups peanut butter chips
  • 2 cups salted peanuts
  • 1 1/2 cups crisp rice cereal

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Mix together the cake mix, 1/3 cup butter, and egg.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9x13-inch pan.
  4. Bake at 350°F for 12 to 18 minutes.
  5. Remove from oven and sprinkle with miniature marshmallows.
  6. Return to oven for 1 to 2 minutes or until marshmallows begin to puff.
  7. In a saucepan over medium heat, cook corn syrup, 1/4 cup butter, vanilla, and peanut butter chips until melted.
  8. Remove from heat and stir in rice cereal and salted peanuts.
  9. Spoon the mixture over the marshmallow-topped cake and spread to cover.
  10. Allow to cool before serving.
