Ingredients

  • 1 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 2 sticks butter or margarine
  • 3 c. flour
  • about 1 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 2 c. finely chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Cream the grated Cheddar cheese and butter together until well mixed.
  2. Add the finely chopped pecans to the cheese mixture.
  3. Shape the mixture into rolls and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  4. Slice the chilled rolls into 1/4-inch thick slices.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15 to 20 minutes, avoiding browning.
