Pepper Salisbury Steak offers hearty beef patties simmered with bell peppers and gravy, served over noodles for a comforting and flavorful family meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb hamburger
  • 1/2 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 jar Heinz brown gravy
  • white pepper
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 8 oz small noodles
  • 2 Tbsp cooking oil
  • salt
  • dash Heinz 57 or Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Form 3 hamburger patties and set aside. Cut up vegetables, including bell pepper and onion.
  2. Saute vegetables with white pepper, salt, and a dash of Heinz 57 or Worcestershire sauce for 5 minutes.
  3. Place patties in a pan with vegetables on medium heat, cover, and cook.
  4. Stir and flip the patties periodically.
  5. Pour off excess fat, then remove the cover after 20 minutes and cook until meat is browned thoroughly.
  6. Pour in Heinz brown gravy, stir, and simmer for 10 minutes.
  7. Cook small noodles according to package instructions.
  8. Serve the steak mixture over the cooked noodles.
