Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp. oil
  • 2 lb. steak
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. ginger
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 1/4 c. soy sauce
  • 2 green peppers, diced
  • 1 can bean sprouts or fresh
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 medium tomatoes, quartered
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Cut the steak into 1/2-inch strips, about 2 inches long.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet and brown the steak with minced garlic, salt, and ginger.
  3. Add the diced green peppers, chopped onion, and quartered tomatoes to the skillet.
  4. Cover and cook for 5 minutes.
  5. In a small bowl, mix water, soy sauce, sugar, and cornstarch.
  6. Add the mixture to the skillet and cook until the sauce thickens.
  7. Serve hot with rice.
