- Discard 2 tablespoons of pineapple syrup from the can and mix the remaining syrup with the crushed pineapple, melted butter, and beaten egg.

- Fold in the chopped pecans and cranberries until evenly distributed.
- Pour batter into a greased baking pan and bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
