Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 2 cups drained, crushed pineapple (16 to 20 oz can)
  • 4 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Cream together shortening, eggs, and vanilla.
  2. Mix dry ingredients and add to the creamed mixture.
  3. Add drained, crushed pineapple and chopped walnuts to the mixture.
  4. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10 to 12 minutes.
