Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 4 cups whole milk or buttermilk
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/8 cup margarine
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 10 to 12 buttermilk biscuits
  • raisins (optional)
  • walnuts (optional)
  • coconut (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, beat eggs. Add sugar, margarine, vanilla, and milk or buttermilk.
  2. Stir in nutmeg and cinnamon. Add raisins, nuts, and coconut, if desired. Break up biscuits and blend in.
  3. Pour into an oven-safe casserole dish. Bake in a preheated 350°F oven for 1 hour or until mixture is set.
