Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 1/2 oz envelope spaghetti sauce mix
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 8 oz package mozzarella cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 15 oz can tomato sauce
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef and chopped onion in a skillet.
  2. Stir in the spaghetti sauce mix, tomato sauce, and water; simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. Spoon the meat mixture into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan and top with mozzarella cheese.
  4. In a bowl, beat the eggs, oil, and milk until foamy.
  5. Add the flour and salt to the egg mixture and beat until smooth.
  6. Pour the batter over the meat filling, spreading it to cover completely.
  7. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top.
  8. Bake at 400°F for 30 minutes until golden and cooked through.
