Ingredients
- 1/2 cup water ⓘ
- 1/4 cup vinegar ⓘ
- 2 tablespoons sugar ⓘ
- 1 tablespoon ground mustard ⓘ
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper ⓘ
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper ⓘ
- 1 slice lemon ⓘ
- 1 medium onion ⓘ
- 1/2 cup ketchup ⓘ
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce ⓘ
- 1 to 2 teaspoons liquid smoke (optional) ⓘ
- 6 pork chops (1/2-inch thick) ⓘ
Instructions
- Mix water, vinegar, sugar, ground mustard, salt, and pepper in a saucepan.
- Add lemon slice and sliced onion to the mixture.
- Simmer the mixture for 20 minutes.
- Stir in ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and liquid smoke (if using).
- Bring the sauce to a boil.
- Place pork chops in a dish and pour the sauce over them.
- Bake uncovered in a 350°F oven for 1 hour and 25 minutes, turning the chops once, until done.
