Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley
  • 1 garlic clove minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 pounds boneless pork, cut into 1 inch cubes
  • Pita bread

Instructions

  1. In a resealable plastic bag or shallow glass container, combine vegetable oil, chopped onion, lemon juice, minced parsley, minced garlic, salt, dried marjoram, and pepper.
  2. Add the pork cubes to the marinade, toss to coat, seal or cover, and refrigerate overnight.
  3. Drain the pork and discard the marinade.
  4. Thread the pork onto skewers, leaving small spaces between pieces.
  5. Grill the skewers uncovered over medium coals for 8-10 minutes, turning frequently, until the meat is no longer pink.
  6. Serve the grilled pork in pita bread with sauce.
