Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup diced celery
  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 1 1/2 cups Cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 can (6 1/2 oz.) tuna
  • 1 can (8 oz.) peas and carrots
  • 1 package refrigerated biscuits

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a saucepan.
  2. Add chopped onion and diced celery; cook until lightly browned.
  3. Stir in flour, salt, and pepper to form a smooth paste.
  4. Gradually add milk and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens.
  5. Add shredded cheese, tuna, and peas and carrots; mix well.
  6. Pour mixture into a 1 1/2-quart casserole dish.
  7. Top with refrigerated biscuits.
  8. Bake at 350°F for 20 to 25 minutes until biscuits are golden brown.
