Ingredients
- 8 oz. mushrooms, sliced ⓘ
- 1 1/2 c. mayonnaise dressing ⓘ
- 2 c. chopped cooked turkey or chicken ⓘ
- 10 oz. frozen mixed vegetables, thawed and drained ⓘ
- 1/4 c. chopped onion ⓘ
- 1/4 c. flour ⓘ
- 1 1/4 c. milk ⓘ
- 1 tsp. dried basil leaves ⓘ
- 1/2 tsp. salt ⓘ
- 1/2 tsp. pepper ⓘ
- 1 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese ⓘ
Instructions
- Cook mushrooms and chopped onion in 2 tablespoons mayonnaise dressing over medium-high heat.
- Add flour and seasonings (dried basil, salt, and pepper), stirring well.
- Gradually add milk, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
- Stir in 1 cup mayonnaise dressing, cooked turkey or chicken, thawed mixed vegetables, and 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese.
- Cook for 5 minutes.
- Spoon the mixture into a 1 1/2-quart casserole dish.
- Spread hot mashed potatoes evenly over the filling.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for about 20 minutes or until heated through and golden on top.
