Ingredients

  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/2 teaspoon butter flavor
  • 1 teaspoon lemon extract
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk

Instructions

  1. Cream together margarine and sugar.
  2. Add egg and beat.
  3. Add egg whites one at a time and beat after each addition.
  4. Add butter flavor, lemon extract, and vanilla extract, and mix well.
  5. Gradually add flour and baking powder, stirring into the batter.
  6. Pour in buttermilk and mix until smooth.

  8. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour.
