  • 2/3 cup shortening
  • 4 eggs
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 2 cups cooked or canned pumpkin
  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 2/3 cup chopped nuts
  • 2/3 cup raisins
  • 2/3 cup chopped dates

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar and shortening; add eggs, water, and pumpkin.
