Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3/4 cup honey
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 well-beaten eggs
  • 3 cups cake flour

  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon soda
  • 1 cup milk

Instructions

  3. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Pour the batter into two wax paper-lined pans.
