Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 3 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Instructions

  1. Mix flour and sugar together.
  2. Place water, cocoa, and margarine in a pan and bring to a boil.
  3. Remove from heat; pour over the flour and sugar mixture.
  4. Mix well.
  5. Add eggs, buttermilk, soda, and vanilla.
  6. Pour into a 9 x 12-inch pan.
  7. Bake at 400°F for 20 to 30 minutes.
