Sweet and fruity cookie sheet bars with raisins and a cinnamon-spiced flavor, topped with powdered sugar, perfect for quick treats or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 c. raisins
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • powdered sugar or 4X sugar icing
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 tsp. soda

Instructions

  1. Cook raisins and water together in a high saucepan; add margarine and soda to the saucepan.
  2. Stir until margarine melts and ingredients are well combined.
  3. Mix sugar, flour, egg, and cinnamon; blend into the saucepan with the raisin mixture.
  4. Spread the batter into a greased large cookie sheet.
  5. Bake for 20 minutes at 350°F (175°C).
  6. While warm, spread with powdered sugar or 4X sugar icing.
