Ingredients

  • 2 c. margarine
  • 2 c. white sugar
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. nuts
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 6 c. oats

Instructions

  1. Soak raisins in warm water while mixing other ingredients.
  2. Cream the margarine, white sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla; add eggs and beat well.
  3. Sift together flour, soda, and salt.
  4. Stir the sifted dry ingredients into the creamed mixture.
  5. Add oats, raisins, and nuts; chill the dough.
  6. Make rolls about 2 1/2 inches thick.
  7. Bake at 360°F (182°C) for about 20 minutes.
  8. Can freeze and bake as needed.
