Ingredients

  • 4 bags red raspberry herb tea
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 1/2 sticks butter
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 10 oz. semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, coarsely chopped (optional)
  • 1 cup flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Place water in a small saucepan and heat to simmer.
  3. Remove from heat.
  4. Add red raspberry herb tea bags, submerging bags completely.
  5. Set aside to cool; then remove tea bags, squeezing liquid from bags.
  6. Place chocolate and butter in the top portion of a double boiler and heat over approximately 2 inches of water.
  7. Heat on low, letting chocolate and butter melt, mixing until well blended.
  8. In a mixing bowl, beat eggs, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until combined.
  9. Stir in the melted chocolate mixture.
  10. Add flour and mix until just combined.
  11. If using, fold in chopped walnuts.
  12. Pour batter into a greased 8-inch square baking pan.
  13. Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs.
  14. Allow to cool before cutting into squares.
