Ingredients

  • 2 large cans tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. onion salt
  • 1 tsp. cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • Tabasco sauce (optional)
  • 1 to 1 1/2 lb. hamburger
  • 1 to 2 bags Fritos
  • 1 lb. or more Colby cheese, grated
  • 1 head lettuce, chopped
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 2 large tomatoes, diced

Instructions

  1. Heat the tomato sauce, adding garlic powder, onion salt, cumin powder, pepper, and optional Tabasco sauce. Let it simmer while preparing the rest of the dish.
  2. Brown the hamburger, adding the same amounts of garlic powder, onion salt, and cumin as used in the sauce.
  3. Layer the ingredients on a plate in the following order: Fritos, cooked hamburger, diced onions, grated cheese, chopped lettuce, diced tomatoes, and a final layer of cheese.
  4. Serve with the hot tomato sauce poured over the top.
