Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. Mac and Cheese dinner
  • 1 tsp. butter
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/8 tsp. garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Cook macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. Stir in butter into the cooked macaroni and reserve for later use.
  3. Brown ground beef in a skillet; add chopped green pepper and onion.
  4. Drain excess grease from the beef mixture.
  5. Add tomato sauce, water, chili powder, salt, pepper, and garlic powder to the beef mixture.
  6. Simmer uncovered for 5 to 10 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat and stir in the cooked macaroni.
  8. Serve hot.
