Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup margarine or butter
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup coconut
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup walnuts
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Instructions

  1. Mix 1 cup flour, margarine or butter, and sugar; put in pan.
  2. Bake for 20 minutes at 350°F (175°C).
  3. Mix remaining ingredients: 1 1/4 cups brown sugar, 1/2 cup coconut, 2 tablespoons flour, 1 cup walnuts, 1 teaspoon vanilla, and 1/2 teaspoon baking powder.
  4. Spread the mixture on top of the first layer.
  5. Bake until brown, same temperature.
  6. Slice when cold.
