Tips & Substitutions

For a richer flavor, consider using a combination of ground beef and turkey for a leaner option. If you prefer a vegetarian version, substitute the meats with lentils or more beans. Adjust the spice level by varying the amount of cayenne and jalapenos, or omit them for a milder chili. This recipe can also be adapted to include your favorite vegetables, making it versatile for different dietary needs.

Serving Suggestions

Serve your San'S Five Bean Chili hot, topped with grated Monterey Jack cheese, chopped onions, or fresh jalapenos for an extra kick. It goes perfectly with a side of Jean'S Mexican Corn Bread for a complete meal. This chili can also be enjoyed on its own or over rice, making it a hearty option for lunch or dinner.

Storage & Reheating

Leftover chili can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or frozen for up to 3 months. To reheat, simply warm it on the stovetop over medium heat, stirring occasionally, or microwave in short intervals until hot. Adding a splash of water or broth can help maintain its consistency when reheating.
