Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup chopped celery
  • 1/3 cup chopped onion
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 pound mild pork sausage, cooked and drained
  • 3 quarts milk
  • 4 cans cream of potato soup
  • 2 cans whole kernel corn, drained
  • 2 cups grated Cheddar cheese
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons thyme
  • 2 teaspoons dill weed

Instructions

  1. Saute chopped celery and onion in margarine until tender.
  2. Add cooked and drained sausage to the skillet and combine.
  3. In a large pot, mix the sautéed vegetables and sausage with milk, cream of potato soup, drained corn, and seasonings.
  4. Heat on low until the cheese is melted and the chowder is heated through.
  5. Serve hot.
