Ingredients

  • 17 oz creamed corn
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup saltine crackers (crumbs)
  • 1/4 cup onion, chopped
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • dash of pepper
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup saltine crackers

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine creamed corn and milk; heat through.
  2. Gradually stir in the beaten egg.
  3. Add 1 cup crushed saltine crackers, chopped onion, salt, and pepper.
  4. Mix well and pour into a greased 8 x 1 1/2-inch round baking dish.
  5. Top with 1/2 cup saltine cracker crumbs and melted butter.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 30 minutes until golden and bubbly.
