Tips & Substitutions

For optimal flavor, try using fresh herbs instead of dried ones. You can substitute chicken breasts with thighs for a juicier result. If Port wine is unavailable, dry sherry or white wine can work as a substitute. To save time, you can use pre-cooked shrimp, adding it at the end just to warm through.

Serving Suggestions

Serve the shrimp and chicken dish over a bed of rice or alongside Delicious Dirty Rice for a hearty meal. A fresh green salad or steamed vegetables make excellent sides to balance the richness. Pair with crusty bread to soak up the flavorful sauce.

Storage & Reheating

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. When reheating, do so gently in a skillet over low heat to prevent the shrimp from becoming rubbery. You can add a splash of broth or water to maintain moisture.
