Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 3/4 c. chopped green pepper
  • 1 c. chopped onion
  • 1 c. chopped celery
  • 1 to 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 1 (14 1/2 oz.) can tomatoes
  • 5 to 6 drops Tabasco sauce
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1 lb. shrimp, shelled and cleaned
  • 1 bay leaf

Instructions

  1. Place butter in a 2 1/2-quart casserole.
  2. Heat full power 20 to 30 seconds or until melted.
  3. Stir in green pepper, onion, and celery.
  4. Cook full power 6 to 8 minutes until vegetables are tender, stirring halfway through.
  5. Sprinkle vegetables with flour and stir to blend.
  6. Mix in tomatoes and cook full power until heated, 4 to 6 minutes, stirring halfway through.
  7. Blend in remaining ingredients and cook full power about 6 minutes, or until shrimp are fully cooked, stirring twice during cooking.
  8. Remove bay leaf before serving.
