A hearty layered casserole combining potatoes, ground turkey, vegetables, and seasonings, perfect for a satisfying family dinner with versatile flavors and optional cabbage inclusion.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups raw potatoes
  • 2 cups chopped celery
  • 2 cups ground turkey
  • 1 cup chopped green pepper
  • 2 cups canned tomatoes
  • 1 cup raw sliced onions
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage (optional)

Instructions

  1. Put all ingredients in a baking dish as given, layering them accordingly.
  2. If using cabbage, add it after the ground turkey layer.
  3. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Optionally, add hot pepper seeds and oregano for extra flavor.
  5. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for about 1 1/2 hours until cooked through and tender.
