Ingredients

  • 2 c. navy beans
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 slices bacon
  • 16 oz. catsup
  • 1 c. honey
  • 1 Tbsp. wine vinegar
  • 3 Tbsp. yellow mustard
  • 2 tsp. steak sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. dry parsley
  • 1 Tbsp. dry mustard seed
  • 2 c. white wine

Instructions

  1. Brown bacon and chopped onions in a skillet.
  2. Add cooked bacon and onions to the navy beans.
  3. Mix together catsup, honey, wine vinegar, yellow mustard, steak sauce, dry parsley, and dry mustard seed.
  4. Pour the mixture over the beans and bacon in the baking dish.
  5. Cover with strips of raw bacon on top.
  6. Bake, uncovered, in a 325°F (160°C) oven for 6 to 8 hours or overnight.
