Ingredients

  • 4 cups drained French-cut beans
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 3/4 tablespoon dried onion
  • 2 cups Wheaties cereal
  • 2 cups grated Swiss cheese
  • dash of pepper

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a saucepan, then stir in flour, salt, pepper, sugar, and dried onion.
  2. Add sour cream to the mixture, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens.
  3. Fold in drained French-cut green beans.
  4. Pour the mixture into a casserole dish.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine grated Swiss cheese and Wheaties cereal, then sprinkle over the top of the casserole.
  6. Bake at 400°F for 20 minutes until bubbly and golden.
