Ingredients

  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 14 oz. chipped beef
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped green onion
  • dash Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp chopped green pepper
  • 18-inch round loaf sourdough bread

Instructions

  1. Mix well all ingredients (cream cheese, sour cream, chipped beef, green onion, Worcestershire sauce, green pepper) in a blender.
  2. Slice the top off the sourdough bread round and hollow out carefully, ensuring there are no weak spots in the shell.
  3. Fill the bread shell with the beef mixture and replace the top.
  4. Wrap the stuffed bread in foil and bake at 300°F (150°C) for 1 1/2 hours.
  5. Serve with soft bread from the interior for dipping into the hot mixture.
