Ingredients

  • 1 package Kraft tangy Italian-style spaghetti dinner
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
  • 1 (2½ oz) jar sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons instant minced onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup grated Cheddar cheese or Mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Prepare spaghetti and sauce as directed on the package.
  2. Combine the cooked spaghetti, 1 cup of sauce, and grated cheese.
  3. Place the mixture in an 8-inch square baking dish.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine ground beef, chopped green pepper, drained mushrooms, beaten egg, minced onion, salt, and pepper.
  5. Mix lightly and spread over the spaghetti mixture.
  6. Top with the remaining sauce.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 45 minutes.
  8. Remove from oven, sprinkle with cheese, and bake just until cheese melts.
