Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups butter
  • 1 cup catsup
  • 2 quarts soup stock
  • bread crumbs, buttered
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 16 cans shrimp
  • salt
  • pepper
  • cayenne

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a saucepan.
  2. Add flour, salt, pepper, and cayenne to the melted butter and blend well.
  3. Pour in the soup stock and cream, stirring until the mixture thickens.
  4. Stir in the catsup until fully incorporated.
  5. Add the canned shrimp to the sauce and cook briefly until heated through.
  6. Pour the shrimp mixture into a buttered baking dish.
  7. Cover with buttered bread crumbs.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 425°F for 15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
