- Cook onion in margarine in a 2-quart saucepan over medium-high heat until tender.
- Blend in flour; cook for 1 minute more.
- Add beef broth and steak sauce; cook and stir until mixture thickens and begins to boil.
- Stir in cubed cooked steak and frozen vegetables.
- Spoon mixture into an 8-inch square glass baking dish.
- Roll out pastry crust and cut to fit over the dish.
- Seal the crust to the edge of the dish and brush with beaten egg.
- Slit the top of the crust to vent steam.
- Bake at 400°F for 25 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
