Ingredients

  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 2 tablespoons margarine or butter
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups beef broth
  • 1/2 cup A.1. Original or Bold & Spicy Steak Sauce
  • 3 cups cubed cooked steak
  • 1 package (16 oz) frozen broccoli, cauliflower, and carrot mixture

Instructions

  1. Cook onion in margarine in a 2-quart saucepan over medium-high heat until tender.
  2. Blend in flour; cook for 1 minute more.
  3. Add beef broth and steak sauce; cook and stir until mixture thickens and begins to boil.
  4. Stir in cubed cooked steak and frozen vegetables.
  5. Spoon mixture into an 8-inch square glass baking dish.
  6. Roll out pastry crust and cut to fit over the dish.
  7. Seal the crust to the edge of the dish and brush with beaten egg.
  8. Slit the top of the crust to vent steam.
  9. Bake at 400°F for 25 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
  10. Serve immediately.
