Instructions
- Crush the garlic and rub on both sides of the pork chops.
- Season the pork chops with freshly ground pepper.
- Dip the pork chops in flour.
- Beat the egg whites with 1 tablespoon of water.
- Place the pork chops in the egg whites mixture, then roll in seasoned bread crumbs.
- Refrigerate the breaded pork chops for 30 minutes.
- Brown the pork chops in 2 tablespoons of oil and 4 tablespoons of margarine.
- Remove the pork chops and place them in a square casserole dish.
- Lightly brown chopped onion in the remaining margarine in the pan.
- Add white wine, beef broth, and bay leaf to the pan, simmer for 2 minutes.
- Pour the sauce over the pork chops in the casserole dish.
- Cover and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
- Remove the bay leaf and serve.
