Ingredients

  • 1 lb. boneless round steak, cut in strips
  • 1 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 (16 oz.) can potatoes
  • 1/4 c. catsup
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire
  • 1/4 c. bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 tsp. instant beef bouillon
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. dried marjoram leaves
  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen green beans
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper

Instructions

  1. Brown beef in oil, then push to the side of the skillet.
  2. Cook and stir chopped onion until tender; drain excess liquid.
  3. Add water to potato liquid to make 1 cup, then mix with catsup, Worcestershire, chopped bell pepper, beef bouillon, salt, marjoram, and black pepper.
  4. Pour the sauce mixture over the beef and onions in the skillet.
  5. Heat to boiling, then reduce heat and simmer covered for 30 minutes to an hour until beef is tender.
  6. Rinse frozen green beans to separate, then add with potatoes to the meat mixture.
  7. Return to a boil, reduce heat, and cook for an additional 15 minutes or until beans are cooked.
