Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 cup pureed prunes
  • 1 cup salad oil
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 12-cup bundt pan and set aside.
  2. In a mixer bowl, combine all cake ingredients except walnuts.
  3. Beat at low speed until all ingredients are moistened.
  4. Increase speed to medium and beat until smooth.
  5. Stir in chopped walnuts.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan.
  7. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
  8. Cool the cake in the pan for 20 minutes.
  9. Remove from pan and transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
