A hearty layered casserole combining creamy potato flakes, seasoned ground beef, vegetables, and melted cheese for a comforting family-friendly meal.

Ingredients

  • 3 c. potato flakes
  • 1 1/2 c. sour cream
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 can vegetable soup
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1 can corn
  • 1 c. shredded cheese
  • 1 Tbsp. instant minced onion
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Mix potato flakes, sour cream, and water until well combined.
  2. Press the potato mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  3. Brown the ground beef; pour off excess fat.
  4. Drain the can of corn.
  5. Add the corn, vegetable soup, tomato soup, and remaining ingredients except the cheese to the beef.
  6. Spoon the meat mixture over the potato layer.
  7. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
  8. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes until hot and bubbly.
