Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 lb. ground beef
  • 1 small can evaporated milk
  • 1/2 c. bread crumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 medium grated onion
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/2 tsp. thyme
  • 1 tsp. Accent
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
  • 1 loaf French bread

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients except bread and cheese.
  2. Cut bread in half lengthwise.
  3. Place crust down on aluminum foil (cut 3-inches larger than bread).
  4. Spread meat mixture over bread.
  5. Bring foil up to form "boat."
  6. Crimp ends.
  7. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Add cheese and bake 5 minutes longer. Slice and serve hot.
