Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. cornmeal
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 (12 oz.) can corn, drained
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 1 small can olives, sliced
  • 1 c. grated Cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Saute meat and onion in a large skillet.
  2. Add chili powder, salt, pepper, corn, tomato sauce, and milk.
  3. Simmer about 20 minutes.
  4. Gradually stir in cornmeal.
  5. Add sliced olives.
  6. Pour mixture into a 3-quart casserole dish and top with grated Cheddar cheese.
  7. Bake about 40 minutes at 350°F.
