Ingredients

  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 cups grated Cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 large can cream-style corn
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 jar jalapeno peppers

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl.
  2. Pour the batter into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
  3. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
  4. Remove from oven and let cool for 15 to 20 minutes before cutting.
