Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 c. self-rising flour
  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 4 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 4 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 6 Tbsp. milk

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, bring to a boil the cocoa, margarine, and milk.
  2. Remove from heat; add confectioners sugar and beat with a mixer until smooth.
  3. Add vanilla and chopped nuts (if desired).
  4. Pour hot frosting over the hot cake.
