Three Bean Chili Chowder Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 lg. onion, minced
  • 2 tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 green pepper, minced
  • 1 (15 1/2 ounce.) can kidney beans, rinsed and liquid removed
  • 1 (15 ounce.) can pinto beans, liquid removed
  • 1 (15 ounce.) can black beans, liquid removed
  • 2 (14 1/2 ounce.) cans stewed tomatoes
  • 1 c. chicken broth
  • 1 c. prepared med. warm picante sauce
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Shredded Monterey Jack cheese for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook onion in oil in soup pot till onion is tender but not brown.
  2. Add in remaining ingredients, except cheese.
  3. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer 10 min.
  4. Ladle into bowls and top with cheese.
  5. Serve with crusty bread.
  6. Quick, easy, and delicious!
