Ingredients

  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1 prepared pan crumbled cornbread
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon dried sage
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 4 slices crumbled bread

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F.
  2. Lightly grease a baking dish.
  3. Melt butter in a skillet and sauté celery and onion until tender.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine crumbled cornbread, crumbled bread, sautéed celery and onion, pepper, and sage.
  5. Stir in chicken broth and beaten eggs; blend well.
  6. Pour the mixture into the greased baking dish.
  7. Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
