Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups butter or margarine
  • 1 cup chunky peanut butter
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 3 cups semi-sweet chocolate pieces

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, stir together the flour, oats, unsweetened cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat the butter and peanut butter with an electric mixer.
  3. Add the sugar and brown sugar; beat until combined.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla; beat the mixture well.
  5. Add the dry ingredients and stir until combined.
  6. Stir in the semi-sweet chocolate pieces.
  7. Drop by generous teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  8. Bake in a 350°F oven for 12 to 14 minutes or until done.
  9. Let cool for 1 minute on the cookie sheet before removing to a wire rack.
